Parents Care is a Chicago-area based company created to help parents and guardians guide their teens in making healthy life choices by saying “NO!” to tobacco, alcohol and drugs.

The company is headed by R. Steven Murphy and his wife, Leslie Griffith Murphy. Steve has 27 years of sales and marketing experience in the packaging and consumer product industry. Leslie is a full-time Mom and part-time public finance consultant. We are joyfully raising three active teenage children – and, yes, all three kids have been made aware of the dangers of alcohol and drug use, have signed a “non-use” teen/parent contract and will be subject to screen testing if there is ever cause to believe that they have violated this agreement.

We believe that being pro-active and addressing these issues head-on is a parent’s best weapon in the battle against peer pressure and other negative influences.

We have created these Drug/Alcohol Awareness, Prevention and Screening (APS) Kits to help reduce the likelihood that your teen will use tobacco, alcohol or drugs during their middle school and high school years. We congratulate you on choosing to be an active participant in making your child aware of these dangers, seeking to prevent experimentation in these areas and to administer screen tests should the need arise.
